Tony Kipling is a time served mechanic with 35+ years professional experience and a life time of knowledge and passion for classic cars.

After serving a traditional apprenticeship he has worked at top Land Rover dealerships in the UK and USA, been a certified Instructor at The Land Rover Experience Driving School in North Carolina, as well as owning and restoring many old cars from 1930's Austin London Taxis to 1960's Jaguars, MGs, Austin Healeys, Land Rovers and Minis...

Tony started his company 'Old English Cars' in 2006, a specialist repair shop working solely on classic and vintage British vehicles while he was living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, USA.

Since moving back to his home town in Yorkshire he has carried on with his lifelong passion working on, restoring and re-commissioning old cars and runs a small workshop in the beautiful East Yorkshire Wolds.

When not working on old cars or talking about old cars, he can usually be found sitting next to them with a flask of tea enjoying a good old car show, driving his 1937 Austin Taxi at the Goodwood Revival, or greenlaning in the Yorkshire countryside.  He is a member of The London Vintage Taxi Association and East Riding 4x4 Club.

When living in America he was a member of The Sports Car Club of America and owned and raced a 1963 Austin Healey Sprite, and competed in autocross with his restored barn-find Mini.

Tony with the 1967 MGB he restored in his spare time while still working full time as a senior Land Rover technician, it's colour 'Old English White' inspired the name of the business.
